We realize our own value
Walking away is not a sign of weakness actually its the opposite. It is a sign of strength and courage. It's not easy to walk away from something or someone your passionate about, it is also hard to be somewhere or with someone when your not recognized or appreciated.
When you feel your under valued as a person within a relationship, or even in a job. At first your sad, hurt, frustrated etc. Right? Yes, then you deal with it, and sometimes make excuses for the individuals. Right? But , there comes a time when you start slowly realizing your own worth and value that you find the courage within to walk away. The power is within us. We just have to get to the point when we are done making excuses for others and we no longer have fear of the unknown. Why because we realize we are strong and deserve the best.
Remember:
You're worth it !
** Walking away is also a sign of maturity. It shows that you have learned to pick and choose your battles. When you have a situation that you realize is not going to be resolved or is not worth the energy it is good to walk away. The other possible outcome if you stick around may cause you lose things that you have worked so hard for. Value yourself over others always.!!

When I was 23, I moved to Tennessee to be with a man I loved, and thought loved me. Within three months, he became abusive and stories of him being unfaithful for the last year of our long distance relationship started coming out from other women. I was ashamed and embarrassed to tell my friends and family that I wanted to come back home because the send-off party they had given me broke so many hearts yet I reassured everyone at the time that I was going to start my life with this man. It wasn't until I realized I was worth more than what he thought of me, that I knew I needed to leave. Your quote from www.livelifehappy.com really resonates with me and speaks the truth that walking away really shows your strength.
ReplyDeleteThanks for Sharing Elizabeth. Wow, I am sorry to hear that and trust me everyone has gone through something similar as some men are what I call special. They love to manipulate and use woman but they always think they can keep them but there comes a point when a woman gets fed up! We all get to our breaking point...Where enough is enough! I am proud of you!
ReplyDeleteYou're such an amazing woman and I am glad you were strong enough to walk away! You deserve the best and you will find true love within a man that is a real man. That man was a little boy!
